Meet PAL's 2023 Runners

Julia Caffrey, Megan Jacobs and Michelle Ziedonis are training and raising critical funds for PAL.  Together, we will impact, inspire and empower our disadvantaged youth through nationally recognized police engagement programs to provide opportunities and support for #buildingtrust and #changinglives.

I’m back! I have always had a passion for running and took my passion to the next level in 2019, completing the TCS New York Marathon with the Team for Kids.  As all of my friends said to me before running the marathon (knowing me very well), this was not going to be just a one time thing – and of course right after I wanted to run another.  I fulfilled my dream of running the Boston Marathon in October of 2021, I ran again in 2022 and I am excited to do it again in April to benefit Boston PAL once again. PAL helps provide the best possible opportunities and outcomes for Boston’s under-resourced youth.  Extraordinary youth become extraordinary leaders. Please help me in teaming up with Boston PAL to support the City of Boston through providing opportunities for it’s under-resourced youth.

Hello Everyone! It is an honor to be running once again for Boston PAL in the 126th Annual Boston Marathon. It has always been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon. Boston PAL is very close to my heart, as it is one of my passions to work with youth in the community, especially through sport development and the game of basketball. My very good friends (BPD ladies, you know who you are!!) do AMAZING work in the community daily to empower our leaders of the future! I currently work as a Nurse Practitioner at MGH and teach part-time nursing to students at Massasoit Community College. With my spare time I enjoy working at local basketball camps and clinics with the Boston Community. Thank you for your donations and helping me achieve this goal!!!

Hi everyone! I am grateful for the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon and support Boston PAL! Boston PAL’s mission of youth mentorship to provide a positive role model for the youth in Boston is inspiring. I was fortunate to have an excellent support system growing up and know that being surrounded by these individuals made me who I am today. Growing up in Massachusetts, it has always been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon – I am looking forward to accomplishing this goal with marathon #6! I am currently a Registered Dietitian at Boston Children’s Hospital and love working with patients and their families to improve their understanding of how nutrition can impact their health. In my free time I love being outdoors, reading, and being active. Thank you for supporting me and this great cause!
